Carpentry

The program follows a period of formal academic study and practical training in the areas of building and construction, automotive engine reconditioning and marine/engineering.  The majority of the studies are practical in stimulated working environments.

In construction workshops, participants are encouraged to try and test their techniques in craftsmanship. Participants are invited to present project work and share their experience with classmates and their trainers at graduation.

Gain basic skills and increase your prospects for a career in a huge range of construction occupations with this entry-level course.

Employers will be seeking an increased number of qualified workers and apprentices as construction enters a growth period over the next few years. Skills shortages are expected in specialised areas of construction, such as bricklaying and painting, where job prospects are high.
