Study Tours

Study Tours

TAFE Queensland's study tours provide a unique opportunity for students to experience the Australian culture while gaining practical knowledge and skills. Study tour groups have plenty of opportunities to experience the Australian culture including studying alongside Australian students and staying in a host family environment.

Union Institute of Language

TAFE Queensland has partnered with Union Institute of Language (UIL) to deliver our study tour programs. UIL has a strong history in delivering study tour programs for both small and large groups of all ages. In partnership with TAFE Queensland, they provide tours on a variety of topics and interests, ranging from heavily education focused tours, to more relaxed tours focused on Australian experiences and culture.

Each UIL study tour is specifically tailored to meet your individual needs including your topic of interest, budget, age group, student numbers, and length of time in Australia.

Being a fully accredited English language college, UIL is also able to provide your tour with certainty around English outcomes.

Overseas Visitor Health Cover

TAFE Queensland recommends all students obtain Overseas Visitor Health Cover through Allianz Global Assistance.

The Australian Government, through the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, requires holders of temporary residency visas with condition 8501 to maintain Overseas Visitors Health Cover (OVHC) during their entire stay in Australia. The relevant visas will not be issued if such evidence is not provided and overseas visitors who do not maintain the appropriate level of cover are at risk of having their visa cancelled.

OVHC from Allianz Global Assistance meets the relevant Australian Government requirements and contributes towards the costs of:

  • in-hospital medical treatment
  • prescription medicines
  • emergency ambulance transport
  • surgically implanted prostheses.

For more information on OVHC or to arrange a quote, please visit the Allianz Global Assistance website
