Short term accommodation

Explore short-term options while you settle into your area

When you first arrive in Australia you may want to organise short term accommodation in a hotel, motel or hostel. Homestay providers also provide short term homestay packages to help you settle in and familiarise yourself with your local area.

Hostels provide budget accommodation where guests can rent a bed (sometimes a bunk bed in a dormitory) and share a bathroom, lounge and sometimes a kitchen. Rooms can be mixed or single-sex, although private rooms may also be available.

Hotels, motels and hostels are all good short-term accommodation options while you settle into your area and look for more permanent accommodation.
