Certificate III in Carpentry

I chose TAFE Queensland because it offered the carpentry course I wanted and I had heard a lot of good feedback from past students. My experience at TAFE Queensland has been a positive one. The teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful and the teachers are very knowledgeable. I would recommend TAFE Queensland to other international students as I’ve received a high quality education here.

Resources required

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Courses may require different resources, depending on your study location.

Students must have access to a CAD or Gaming quality machine. Minimum specifications can be found here. Windows machines are ideal as Autodesk programs are not available native to Mac (you may use a dual boot system however we will not be able to provide any support in this process and there are known glitches using this arrangement).

Autodesk programs (Revit & AutoCad) can be downloaded for free as an educational version. Adobe programs and Sketchup are available on campus however it would be beneficial to purchase a personal copy to assist completion of project work.
